The Wassily is a chair that Marcel Breuer designed when he was still an apprentice of the Bauhaus school. It was 1925, and this chair was created for the apartment of the painter Wassily Kandinsky. Inspired by the frame of a bicycle and influenced by the constructivist theories of the De Stjil movement, Breuer reduced the form of the classic club chair to its elemental lines and planes. A piece of history of modern design in your living room, as in your office or contract settings from the setting sophisticated. The KnollStudio logo and signature of Marcel Breuer are stamped into the base of the chair.
