Designed by creative director Vincent Van Duysen, the Paula armchair is an icon of contemporary seating, characterized by a design that brings a sense of movement and lightness to any space. Its timeless elegance is reflected in its carefully studied proportions: the cantilevered structure and suspended cushions create a perfect balance between comfort and sturdiness. The seat and backrest are fixed to the metal frame with leather straps, adding warmth and contrast to the frame, available in either bronze or sand finishes. The leather straps are available in natural shades such as tobacco, hazelnut, mud green, and natural. The matching ottoman, with the same metal finish, complements the design, offering visual and functional continuity. Paula is an armchair that combines modernity with exclusive comfort, becoming a striking element in any setting.

The brand is distinguished by innovative design, continuous research, and the adoption of advanced production techniques, supplying furnishings for museums, hotels, restaurants, and cruise ships, with collaborations from renowned designers such as Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni, Jean Nouvel, and Hannes Wettstein. Molteni&C received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro career award in 1994 and 2020, awarded by ADI (Association for Industrial Design). Since 2012, in collaboration with the Gio Ponti Archives and under the artistic direction of Studio Cerri & Associati, it has exclusively reissued several iconic pieces by Gio Ponti, intended for private residences, special projects, or limited editions, faithfully respecting the original designs.
