Description
The headboard, with its gentle curves, is crafted from low-formaldehyde wood particleboard (class E1), expertly shaped and upholstered with expanded polyurethane foam, then covered with a soft velour-backed fabric. The storage base, available in the lift-up bed version, is made from particleboard panels finished with decorative papers impregnated with melamine resins, offering durability and functionality. The 14 mm thick storage bottom can be easily lifted using a handle, providing convenient access to the internal compartment. The lift-up bed base, designed for mattresses measuring 1600 or 1800 mm, features a dual-motion mechanism: the first motion opens the storage compartment, while the second allows the base to move horizontally, making bed-making effortless. The 1150 NW pistons are calibrated for a maximum mattress weight of 35 kg. For a more traditional solution, Sumo is also available with a fixed slatted base, where the wood slats rest on solid, painted metal crossbars. Additionally, manual or electric adjustable base versions are available, compatible with mattresses measuring 1530, 1600, 1800, or 1930 mm. Both the upholstered bed frame and headboard can be covered in fabric, eco-leather, or leather, with the option to select a contrasting finish for the front of the headboard compared to the bed frame and the back of the headboard. The bed frame cover is fully removable, while the headboard maintains its elegant structure with non-removable upholstery. Thanks to the meticulous attention to detail on all sides, Sumo is designed to be placed even at the center of the room, becoming the discreet yet striking centerpiece of spaces devoted to timeless relaxation and beauty.
