A celebrated symbol of contemporary design, the Up Series received the prestigious XXVII Compasso d’Oro "Lifetime Achievement Award for Product 2022" last June, the highest recognition in the field of Italian industrial design. To celebrate this milestone, B&B Italia presents the limited edition "Compasso d’Oro Edition" of the anthropomorphic armchair, available in only 500 numbered units. The special version of UP5_6 will be upholstered in the exclusive CD fabric in a refined antique gold color, while the spherical pouf in bronze-colored fabric will be connected to the armchair by a chain made of aluminum with a corten finish. Designed in 1969 by Gaetano Pesce, the Up Series won the XXVII Compasso d’Oro ADI 2022 - Lifetime Achievement Award for Product 2022, a recognition that highlights its undeniable importance in the design world.
