Dambo is the third sofa system designed by Piero Lissoni for B&B Italia. It is a modular system that combines complex geometric shapes, such as irregular pentagons, with linear rectangular modules, offering numerous compositional possibilities to suit various environments. The pentagon-based elements, with their generous dimensions and high versatility, can be used as chaise longues, combined with other modules, or as standalone seating. These volumes, welcoming and ideal for central room placement, allow for angular solutions or customized configurations. The high and enveloping backrests are inspired by the organic forms of nature, while the armrests, resembling petals, can be adjusted in height through a hinge, offering personalized comfort. The five base modules, with their soft, enveloping feel and pleasant ergonomics, allow for a wide variety of arrangements. The geometries, though informal, are perfectly harmonious and functional. The cold-foam construction system, along with advanced padding, ensures lasting comfort. The backrests and armrests are easily attached to the base using a bayonet connection, while the elegant oval-shaped feet add lightness to the entire structure.
