The present-day version of this armchair, reproducing the big “ears” of the seatback and the large rounded arms with plissé finish, is even more stylish, and the book stand has been replaced with a brass tray. The armchair is available in a version with an ash tray or glass holder. In the version with the ashtray, the saucer arm swivels and is created from bronze in a golden or gunmetal grey finish. The plate is in Canaletto walnut wax treated, whilst the ash tray, which rests on top, is in brass in a golden or gunmetal grey finish and engraved with the Poltrona Frau logo. In the glass-holding version, the arm is in bronze with a golden or gunmetal grey finish and is fixed. In this case, the plate is in natural oak wax treated, and further enriched by a little brass ash tray in a golden or gunmetal grey finish, engraved with the Poltrona Frau logo. The wheels and other metal parts (plate arm, ash tray and plate) are always matching, in the chosen finish: golden or gunmetal grey.

MATERIALS
Seat, backrest and armrest suspension with hand tied steel-springs connected to jute belts. Horsehair padded seat. Hand shaped horsehair backrest and armrests. Down filled seat cushion. The backrest of the chair has hand crafted diamond shaped tufting. The external back of the chair is finished with a row of leather covered tacks.
