Plywood LCW is the result of a long research by Ray and Charles Eames, in order to create an extraordinary three-dimensional model that perfectly suited to the shapes of the human body. In 1945, at the end of the Second World War, the couple of designers found new procedures for three-dimensional modeling of laminated wood. Plywood Group LCW 75th anniversary edition is made with back and seat in moulded plywood with face veneer in black-pigmented walnut. The base is in moulded plywood in black ash. Seat and backrest attached to the base with shock mounts (bonded rubber and metal connectors).
